The Mena House is, if not the best known hotel in Egypt, certainly one of the better known. For years, this hotel has been considered one of the finest in Cairo, and is certainly one of the most historic, with a long and enchanting past.

The hotel has a stable of horses and camels complete with experienced instructors; swim in their spectacular pool, the largest in Cairo, or play tennis or a round of golf within view of the Sphinx. Hotel restaurants include Al Rubayat, lit by antique Islamic lamps and featuring live music. There is a discotheque and casino. Every room is fully air-conditioned, with a well-stocked mini-bar, direct dial telephone, and TV. Marble bathrooms have bathrobes, personal toiletries and king-size tubs.
